We are seeking for an experienced Legal Counsel to provide legal support across the bank's operations, with a focus on banking law, corporate law, litigation, regulatory compliance, loan recovery, and legal risk management. The successful candidate will advise internal stakeholders, represent the bank in legal proceedings, prepare legal documentation, and help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and process legal documents, contracts, loan agreements, and security instruments.
• Review internal policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review contracts supporting the bank's operations and financial services.
• Prepare legal opinions and provide legal advice on operational matters.
• Draft reports and regulatory communications.
• Support compliance with labor and employment laws.
• Prepare court documents and represent the bank in legal proceedings.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation and case management.
• Support loan recovery and debt collection activities.
• Monitor litigation, fraud investigations, and legal risk matters.
• Prepare weekly and monthly legal reports.
• Mentor junior legal staff and support knowledge sharing within the Legal Department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB).
• Advocate certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or commercial organization.
• Strong knowledge of banking, corporate, and commercial law.
• Experience in litigation, contract drafting, and legal compliance.
• Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
