The Institute of Finance Management (IFM), a public higher learning institution, is seeking an Accounts Technician to maintain accounting records, keep incoming bills and claims in safe custody, prepare payment requisitions, post receipts, and carry out pre-payment examination of invoices, bills, claims and petty accounts. There is 1 post in Dar es Salaam. The position is a one-year renewable contract on salary scale PGSS 3.
Responsibilities
- Receive and keep incoming bills and claims in proper custody
- Maintain account records
- Prepare payment requisitions
- Post receipts
- Record transactions in accounting documents
- Carry out pre-payment examination of invoices, bills, claims, and petty accounts
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
- Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)
- Certificate in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or Commerce majoring in Accountancy or Finance, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; or ATEC I offered by NBAA
- Computer certificate
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
