The Institute of Finance Management (IFM), a public higher learning institution, is seeking qualified Artisans II (Electrician) to install, test, repair and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, equipment and installations at its campuses. There are 6 posts: 3 in Dar es Salaam, 1 in Mwanza, 1 in Simiyu and 1 in Geita. The position is a one-year renewable contract on salary scale PGSS 2.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical wires and repair electrical faults
- Connect and install light bulbs and electrical sockets
- Repair electrical equipment
- Test and replace electrical circuits
- Replace damaged cables and install circuit breakers
- Maintain electrical systems
- Inspect electrical installations
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
- Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV National Examination Certificate)
- Trade Test II or Level II in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Computer certificate
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
- Electrical installation and repair skills
- Ability to test circuits and repair electrical faults
- Knowledge of electrical equipment, cables, and circuit breakers
- Ability to inspect and maintain electrical systems
