Community & Social Engagement Intern

We are seeking for an enthusiastic Community & Social Engagement Intern to support digital community engagement across its online platforms. The successful candidate will manage social media interactions, publish engaging content, facilitate healthy online discussions, and monitor civic conversations to strengthen community participation and meaningful public dialogue.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily interactions across social media platforms.
• Schedule and publish content according to the content calendar.
• Facilitate respectful, inclusive, and constructive online discussions.
• Monitor civic conversations, audience engagement, and emerging trends.
• Respond to community inquiries and encourage meaningful participation.
• Support digital engagement campaigns and outreach initiatives.
• Provide insights and feedback to improve community engagement strategies.

Requirements

• Recent Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Political Science, Development Studies, Sociology, Statistics, Data Science, Graphic Design, Project Management, ICT, or a related field.
• Passion for online community engagement, civic technology, and social impact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital engagement.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in both English and Swahili.
