Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Intern

Jamii Africa is seeking a motivated Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Intern to support the collection, analysis, and reporting of programme performance data. The successful candidate will assist in gathering community feedback, analyzing qualitative and quantitative information, and preparing reports that help measure programme effectiveness and support continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect programme performance and monitoring data.
• Gather community feedback through surveys, interviews, and other data collection methods.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and insights.
• Support the preparation of Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) reports and learning briefs.
• Maintain organized datasets and programme documentation.
• Assist with programme evaluations and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with programme teams to support evidence-based decision-making.

Requirements

• Recent Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Development Studies, Communications, Political Science, Sociology, ICT, Project Management, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Passion for monitoring, evaluation, civic technology, and social impact.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Good understanding of qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in both English and Swahili.
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn.
