Digital Engagement Strategy Intern

We are seeking for a creative and motivated Digital Engagement Strategy Intern to support the development of engagement strategies that strengthen online communities and promote meaningful public participation. The successful candidate will contribute to campaign planning, audience research, messaging development, and digital engagement initiatives that support Jamii Africa's mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of digital engagement strategies.
• Assist in planning and maintaining campaign calendars.
• Research online community trends and audience behavior.
• Develop messaging frameworks and communication guidelines.
• Support digital campaigns that encourage meaningful community participation.
• Monitor engagement activities and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams on communication and outreach initiatives.

Requirements

• Recent Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Political Science, Development Studies, Sociology, Statistics, Data Science, Graphic Design, Project Management, ICT, or a related field.
• Passion for online community engagement, civic technology, and social impact.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Fluency in both English and Swahili.
• Creative mindset with an interest in digital communication strategies.
