Victoria Finance PLC, a regulated microfinance institution serving low and middle-income earners, women and youth in Tanzania, is seeking a Credit Relationship Officer in Madibira. The officer assesses client creditworthiness, manages loan applications and monitors the loan portfolio, and reports to the Branch Manager.
Responsibilities
- Identify new clients, understand their financial needs and build strong relationships to find loan opportunities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports and other data to assess client creditworthiness and loan eligibility
- Gather documentation, complete loan applications and structure loan terms according to credit policies
- Identify credit risks, apply mitigation strategies and monitor loan portfolios for early signs of delinquency
- Negotiate loan terms, interest rates and repayment schedules with clients
- Address client inquiries, resolve loan concerns and provide ongoing financial guidance
- Monitor loan accounts, track repayments and take action on delinquent loans
- Maintain accurate records of loan transactions, prepare management reports and document credit decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Five years of experience in the banking or microfinance industry, preferably in credit analysis or relationship management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management tools
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and assess credit risk
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
