Official job description

Vipawa Works Inc. Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Wheel Loader Operator to operate wheel loader equipment in support of project activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating the equipment for loading, stockpiling and transporting materials, while also conducting daily inspections and supporting basic preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of the wheel loader before and after daily operations.
Operate the wheel loader to load different materials into dump trucks.
Perform stockpiling of materials according to project requirements.
Carry and transport materials within the equipment's specified capacity.
Operate the equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications and operating limits.
Properly park and shut down the wheel loader at the designated location after use.
Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment's interior, exterior and accessories.
Assist with basic preventive maintenance of the wheel loader.
Identify and report equipment faults, defects or unusual conditions to the immediate supervisor.
Follow established safety procedures and safe equipment-operating practices.
Help maintain high equipment availability and minimize unnecessary downtime.
Support timely maintenance and repairs when equipment issues are identified.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience operating wheel loaders.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Ability to follow workplace and equipment safety procedures.
Basic understanding of equipment inspection and preventive maintenance.
Ability to identify and report equipment problems.
Knowledge or experience in agricultural operations is an added advantage.
Diploma-level education may be preferred based on the employer's stated education criteria.
