We are looking to hire a Fleet Manager to oversee fleet operations, vehicle availability, maintenance, compliance, documentation, and transport-related SAP activities for Dangote Cement in Mtwara.
Responsibilities
- Perform SAP-related activities for the Transport Department as a trained TMS, MM and SD core user
- Liaise with FOS on all issues related to fleet management
- Maintain electronic databases of fleet sales, registration, inspections and maintenance
- Ensure fleet availability by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends
- Arrange fleets and operational staff to provide support and schedule special events
- Monitor and ensure fleet operations comply with local and state rules and regulations
- Facilitate and implement corrective actions and capacity building to manage the entire fleet
- Ensure vehicle and driver logbooks are properly maintained and entered into relevant documentation
- Oversee vehicle licensing, renewals and other statutory registrations
- Review and sign off periodic vehicle fuelling requests in line with approved provisions
- Coordinate routine vehicle servicing and repairs and maintain relevant documentation
- Perform periodic vehicle inspections, report incidents and provide recommendations to the Head of Department
- Liaise with approved mechanic workshops to ensure prompt and complete servicing and repair of Dangote Cement trucks
- Prepare and submit monthly fleet reports
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Senior Manager or Head of Transport
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Transport and Logistics or Procurement
- Professional qualification in Procurement and Logistics
- SAP knowledge covering TMS, MM and SD
- Computer application skills
