The High Commission of Canada to Tanzania is seeking a Migration Program Case Analyst to provide programme, coordination, analytical, and administrative support for Canada’s immigration and refugee programmes in Dar es Salaam.
Responsibilities
- Assess applications in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations, and departmental instructions.
- Analyse applications and supporting documents to identify unusual, inconsistent, or questionable information.
- Determine when additional documentation or applicant interviews are required and provide recommendations to officers.
- Conduct research, including fact-finding interviews, to obtain and verify information related to case processing, quality assurance, and programme integrity.
- Use electronic systems to verify requirements, document information, conduct research, complete verifications, and communicate with relevant contacts and stakeholders.
- Contribute to reporting, liaison, programme integrity, and Visa Application Centre governance activities.
- Support outreach activities relating to Canada’s permanent and temporary residence programmes.
- Participate in the training and professional development of colleagues.
- Analyse data and information from multiple sources to identify trends and support responses to complex migration-related issues.
- Contribute to the work of the Migration Section.
- Supervise staff.

- Experience working in a diplomatic mission or international organisation is an asset.
- Experience with immigration-related legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines, and procedures is an asset.
- Experience using the Global Case Management System in a Canadian visa office is an asset.
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in French is an asset.
