The Institute of Finance Management (IFM), a public higher learning institution, is seeking qualified Artisans II (Plumbing) to install, maintain, inspect and repair water supply, drainage and sewerage systems at its campuses. There are 7 posts: 4 in Dar es Salaam, 1 in Geita, 1 in Simiyu and 1 in Mwanza. The position is a one-year renewable contract on salary scale PGSS 2.
Responsibilities
- Install water pipes and repair leakages
- Repair blocked drainage systems
- Maintain plumbing systems
- Inspect and test plumbing systems
- Install sewerage systems
- Take care of tools and equipment
- Record repair and maintenance reports
- Order repair and maintenance spares from the store
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
- Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV National Examination Certificate)
- Trade Test II or Level II in Plumbing, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Computer certificate
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
- Plumbing skills
- Ability to install and maintain plumbing and sewerage systems
- Ability to inspect and repair leaks and drainage systems
- Ability to maintain tools, equipment, and repair records
